PRESS RELEASE
20 September 2010

Please note that AIR-SUN, in cooperation with the Municipality and the Prefecture of Thessaloniki, installs the first demonstrative power plant by hybrid wind and photovoltaic elements in Aristotle Square in Thessaloniki.
The opening of the unit will be on Wednesday at 19.00 pm, the unit is installed to Aristotle's Square (in front of the statue of Venizelos).
The unit will remain in operation until Saturday, September 25.
Visitors to the unit's AIR-SUN will have the opportunity to discover how a hybrid unit works, see the advantages in power generation over conventional solar panels and wind turbines and understand how the wind AIR-Turbo, can help in multiplying the power output of a photovoltaic system using the existing land or housing.
They will also have the opportunity to see the on-line measurements of power that would reflect the productive capacity of this hybrid system, in various weather sunshine, wind speed and direction and all day long.
The ‘’Prefecture’’ and the Municipality of Thessaloniki support thus applying a purely Greek production of "green energy" proving in practice that Greek entrepreneurship has the ability to produce modern, innovative systems.
The AIR-SUN manufactures the unique Greek vertical axis wind turbine AIR-Turbo which already operates dozens of facilities in Greece, in autonomous systems or enhancing existing solar installations.
Representatives of AIR-SUN will be there at the place the pilot unit waiting for the guests and friends of "clean energy" to provide any information and update.
